About Me
I’m a 23 year old Multimedia and Educational Technologies master student at UiA in Grimstad. I have always been interested in multimedia and technology, so taking this study was a dream come true for me. My biggest interest in this field is Virtual Reality software development. However, I also have experience in other aspects of multimedia content creation such as: Blender, Adobe Programs, JavaScript coding, and SQL to name a few. VR Shooting Range Simulator
During the autumn semester we were tasked with developing a VR application/game demo for the MM-505 Virtual and Augmented Reality course. The application I created was a shooting range simulator. In the application it is currently possible to use 2 weapons (pistol and bow), adjust the scoreboard and the timer, and adjust movement of each individual target.
As a Bachelor thesis, it was developed a 3D Interactive Application of a Pilot Whale Skeleton in Unity with the goal of being illustrated, presented and utilized in a touch screen at the musuem. Vistors are able to visualize two three-dimentional representations of the pilot whale, one skeletal and one encompassing the skin, enabling them to interactively explore various anatomical parts of the whale and gain insights into its comprehensive history. This project was successfully completed in May 2023 by Diogo Duarte and Oskar Mielnik.
The goal of this application is to let users visualize their potential PC build in real environment. The application scans the room and detects horizontal planes, which are then visualized on the screen. By moving their phone around users can decide where the PC will be placed. Once the computer is placed users can go through process of choosing PC components that will be automatically placed in the PC case. This project have been made for the purposes of the MM-505 Virtual and Augmented reality course, meaning that it is only a demo. However, it has great potential in becoming useful product upon further development.
